Darwin's Theory of Evolution and Legacy

Charles Darwin, a self-made scientific genius and arguably the greatest biologist of all time, was born 200 years ago on 12 February 1809, as was Abraham Lincoln, an equally gifted political intellectual. Biologists and academicians all over the world are excited to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birthday and the 150th anniversary of his book On the Origin of Species, in which he meticulously catalogued the evidence for evolution through natural selection as the basis for biological diversity.
