Abstract
Polypharmacy for nonrenal complications of chronic kidney failure is often a necessaiy part of the solution in clinical management, but it may also be part of a larger problem: drug toxicity. Since adverse drug reactions occur more frequently when renal function is impaired, the situation mandates sound clinical judgment, vigilant monitoring, and knowledgeable adjustment of drug regimens.
