Abstract

Abstract Nitration of the fluoroethylenes (I), containing a CFCl fragment, with nitric acid (II) in the presence of oleum produces the halonitroacetyl fluorides (III), whereas from the ethylenes (V), (VII), and (X) with a CF2 group, the nitroethyl fluorosulfates (VI), (VIII), or (XI) are obtained predominantly.
