Abstract

This dataset provides monthly income from freight on the Charlotte and South Carolina Railroad from 1851 to 1858 as given in the annual reports of the company. The annual reports broke out up and down freight separately. 1851 is October-December only. The figures for 1858 are drawn from the eleventh annual report, page 13; the column is erroneously labeled "1857." This dataset is a part of the Magazine of American Datasets (MEAD).
