Abstract
The distribution of the alloying elements in the billet produced by electric magnetic casting beforeand after homogenizing treatment was studied by scanning electron microscopy and electron microprobe analysis.Atthe grain boundary, the Cu,Zn and Mg elements are segregated and the segregation ratio(SR)is 19.2,2.6 and 1.85respectively.Meanwhile,the diffusion kinetics of the alloy elements during the homogenizing treatment was studied, with the result that the homogenizing equation is deduced. The best homogenizing regulation of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cualloy is 450℃,24h based on the conclusion of the experiments and the computation.
