Analysis of HIV antibody test results in 232 HIV/AIDS and their spouses or fixed sex partners

Objective:To study the infection status and sexual behavior of the HIVsexual transmission among HIV/AIDS and their spouses or fixed sex partners,and provide the basis for the prevention and spread of HIV infection.Methods: HIV antibody was detected in blood samples of HIV/AIDS cases and their spouses or fixed sex partners.Results: HIV antibody test results showed that 48 positive cases were found in 232 spouses of HIV/ AIDS cases,the rate of HIV infection through sexual transmission was 20.69%(48/232).Among 31 positive male spouses,the HIV transmission rate of female-to-male was 21.68%(31/143);while in 17 positive female spouses,the HIV transmission rate of male-to-female was 19.10%(17/89).(χ2 =0.222,P0.05).The transmission rate of male-female and female-male had no significant statistical difference.HIV/AIDS and their spouses or fixed sex partners were at low education level,most were junior high school and below,accounting for 84.48%(196/ 232);The farmers ranked the top,accounting for 78.45%(182/232);The high peak age was between 30 and 39 years old,46.12%(107/232);The condom useage rate was extremely low.The couples with infection time interval less than three months accounted for 83.33%(40/48).Conclusion: It is effective to expand the detection range,carry out timely missionary and intervention,increase condom use for blocking the HIV transmission through sex ual behaviors between spouses.
