Abstract

Genetic relationship of 76 Chinese cabbage-pe-tsai and 2 accessorial materials(Hakukeisenkinkyou and Shaihai-qing) inbred lines was analyzed by AFLP markers.Eight pairs of primers that clear amplify the bands which have good polymorphism were selected for AFLP analysis.Total 301 fragments were acquired, and the average number of bands per pair primer 37.6,of which 273 fragments were polymorphic. The results showed that the genetic similarity(GS) coefficients ranged from 0.63 to 0.98 among 78 inbred lines based on the AFLP analysis;the GS coefficients among 76 heading Chinese cabbage ranged from 0.72 to 0.98;the GS between Hakukeisenkinkyou and Shaihai-qing was 0.74.Severty-eight lines were classified into 8 groups, the first to sixth group was heading Chinese cabbages, the seventh was Japanese water-cabbage and the eighth was Shaihai-qing.The results of clusters of Chinese cabbage-pe-tsai were similar to those of leaf head type.
