Abstract

This paper deals with four species of ancyrocephalids belonging to two different genera collected from the gills of a sea catfish, Arius sinensis (Lacepede), from Yangjiang (111°49′E, 21°34′ N), Guangdong Province, South China Sea. Among them one is new species and the other three are known species: Chauhanellus flexiosus Bychowsky et Nagibina, 1969, Hamatopedunculari arii Yamaguti, 1953 and H. simplex Bychowsky et Nagibina, 1969.All syntype-specimens of the new species are deposited in the Department of Biology, South China Normal University. All measurements are expressed in millimeters.
