Abstract

Author selected 814 flood disaster cases during 1950-2002 year in Xinjiang, these cases was classified for four grades.Based these classification, the temporal and spatial distribution of flood disaster was analyzed, the results show that Aksu,Kashkar and Changji area were the most times and much serious of flood disaster in Xinjiang;Aletai,Tacheng,Boertala,Yili and Bayinguoleng area(eparchy) were more serious.Flood disaster appeared high frequency for four grades apiece in summer, while the spring flood disaster were 1,2,3 grade with lesser loss.Because of Xinjiang climate warmed since 1987,the summer precipitation risen observably, the times and quantity of flood disaster risen singularly and the Variability of exceeding standard flood increased distinctly in Xinjiang
