Clinical application of low field MR diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) to acute cerebral infarction

Abstract

Objective To explore clinical role of low field MR DWI in acute cerebral infarction.Methods 122 cases of super-acute,acute and sub-acute cerebral infarction patients were diagnosed in MRI DWI imaging and compared with regular MRI T2WI.Results Super acute,acute,sub acute infarction all showed hyperintensity on DWI,Only 46 cases showed abnormal in T2WI、FLAIR.Conclusion DWI is able to play aprincipal role in excluding possibility of new onset of cerebral infarction.
