The New Change and New Development of English Words

Words are the most important part of language and they are also the product and reflection of the development of language.Social development leads to the development and change of English language,which results in the appearance of a large number of new English words.Quoting from some authoritative English dictionaries and publications with high reputation,this paper lists some typical examples in such fields as science and technology,politics and economy,culture and education,sports and entertainment with the hope to arouse reader’s awareness of the rapid development of English words during these years and to update their English so as to adjust to the requirement of modern life.
