A model research on the adoption of enterprise resource planning by enterprise

Abstract

To adopt and implement Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) effectively, this paper develops a model of the key factors influencing the adoption of ERP by the theoretical analysis and empirical research. The model shows:enterprise size, division of power within organizational structure, reformation of enterprise culture and environmental uncertainty are positively relative with the degree of adopting ERP by enterprise;enterprise performance is negatively relative with the degree of adopting ERP by enterprise. The model provides a better understanding of ERP diffusion process and has a guiding significance for the ERP application which is now in the ascendant.
