Efficacy of Treating Hepatic Encephalopathy with Retention Enema of Modified Xiaochenqi Decoction

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of hepatic encephalopathy with retention enema of modified Xiaochenqi Decoction.Method:85 cases with hepatic encephalopathy randomLy divided into test group(43 cases)and control group(42 cases),all the 85 cases were treated with routine treatment,while retention-enema with modified Xiaochenqi Decoction was adopted in test group twice a day.Before and after the treatment,the clinical symptoms including consciousness and the level of NH3 in serum was detected.Results:The results showed that after retention-enema the NH3 level was significantly descended in test group(P0.05),the efficiency rate is 83.7%.Conclusion:It has been proved that retention enema with modified Xiaochenqi Decoction.has a significant clinic effect in hepatic encephalopathy.
