Abstract

Study on the cytopathology of Cymbidinm faberi within complex infection of Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) , by using ultrathin sectioning observation of electron microscopy, has been carried out. The results indicated: the subcellular strueture of symptomless part of diseased leaf was nearly intact, with fewer assemble bodies of TMV particles in the cytoplasma or near the chloroplasts. The subcellular structure of mosaic part of diseased leaf was lesioned different degree, a lots of assemble bodies of TMV particles and single TMV particle distributed in the cytoplasma. The subcellular structur of yellow part of diseased leaf was avalanche. A assemble of bodies or single particle of TMV distributed in the cytoplasma of some cells. A assemble bodies or single particle of TSWV distributed in the cytoplasma of other cells. There were vironplasma and vesicular bodies in the cytoplasma. Enveloped particles of TSWV distributed separately or aggregated in cell walls. Filamentous inclusion distributed in the phloem cells.
