Abstract

In order to promote the accuracy of queue length and the number of vehicles at intersection and depict intersection behavioral characteristics of gather vehicles more effectively, distance headway is regarded as the influence factors of intersection queue up a red light based on the actual operation rule of vehicles.Using the basic idea of the artificial potential field for reference, this paper analyzes the relationship between traffic speed and distance headway on the urban road, and establishes the cluster models.Based on the models, the simulation experiment using Matlab to obtain the simulation plans and all kinds of vehicles' movement process characteristics graph. In addition, the simulation results of experiment based on the models and VISSIM will be compared with the actual data, the results show that the established models improve imitate effect of vehicles queue at intersection greatly,at the same time, operation aspect of every car in the process of gathering can be showed through the simulation experiment.
