Abstract
Based on the field investigation,TWINSPAN(Two-way indicator species analysis) and DCA(Distended correspondence analysis) were adopted to conduct the multi-analysis of degeneration succession community on alpine grassland under degenerate succession in north-west of Sichuan province.According to the results of TWINSPAN and in combination with the ecological characteristics of the region,45 sampling plots were divided into 12 associations,and their community characteristics were described.The result of DCA ordination tested and verified the result of TWINSPAN.The first axis of DCA mainly indicated the moisture gradient among the communities,while the second axis essentially expressed the gradient in degeneration of alpine grassland.
