Effect of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in Treatment of Renal Failure with Jiangtang Tongmai Granule

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei in the treatment of renal failure with Jiangtang Tongmai Granule.METHOD Jiangtang Tongmai Granule with Radix et Rhizoma Rhei and without Radix et Rhizoma Rhei was given respectively to renal failure rat models and followed by determination of the content of protein,serum BUN and CR in the animal urine.CONCLUSION Both kinds of granules could markedly reduce the content of urine protein,but the granule with Radix et Rhizoma Rhei had better effect in reducing serum BUN and CR.CONCLUSION Radix et Rhizoma Rhei is of important significance in improving renal failure indexes.
