Empirical Study on Interaction Between Industrialization and Urbanization in Hunan Province

To identify the relationship between industrialization and urbanization, empirical analysis is conducted with regarding to the level of industrialization and urbanization, internal structures of industries, change tendencies of the urbanization rate and the non-farming industrial proportion, and, the deviation of urbanization and non-farming industrial employment proportion in Hunan province. The results show that interaction between the industrialization and the urbanization in the province is in bad state. Countermeasures and proposals are put forwarded for improving the situation.
