On the Vitality of Marxist Philosophy

Abstract

Marxist philosophy is facing a new challenge in the new historical conditions. Does Marxist philosophy, born in the 19th century, apply to the circumstances today? In effect, Marxist philosophy is an opening system with the capacity of self transcendentality. It is still the essence of Zeitgeist today. The faux pas of socialist practices result precisely from the violation of the fundamental principles of Marxist philosophy. The creative explanations of Marxist philosophy will keep it in an open gesture of interactivity and free from reducing it to an instrument of narrow interests, thus maintaining its intrinsic vitality.
