Abstract
Producer Services which externalize the value chain is a value sector of the manufacture industry value chain. This paper studies the spatial structure of Chinese city network with the ICT industry- producer services as an example.The result is that Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen are the core service-oriented cities and Hangzhou, Nanjing, Guangzhou and other cities are the secondary service-oriented cities of Chinese city network. The Chinese city network has a spatial structure that core service-oriented city has a nationwide network of contacts and the secondary service-oriented city generally has a regional network of contacts.In the city network, service-oriented city is a tie which contact with other manufacturing cities.
