On Detective Fiction and Cultural Modernization

With generations of detective writers 'innovation,detective fiction,rather than a kind of vulgar reading materials for entertainment or relaxation,found its way into the palace of literature as a special classic,appealing to numerous eminent critics with its unique charm.In terms of the latest study among British and American critics,we can apparently find a new trend.They switched detective fiction study into a cultural study as they transcended the formalist structural criticism.In particular,this trend lies in the following factors :first,conducting an archaeological study on detective fiction;second,exploring the relationship between detective fiction and modernity;third,exploring the relationship between detective fiction and secular theology.
