Abstract
An ion-pair HPLC method was established for the determination of metformin hydrochloride and pioglitazone hydrochloride. A C18 column was used, with the mobile phase of methanol-2 mmol/L SDS (56∶44) ,at the detection wavelength of 264 nm. The calibration curves of metformin hydrochloride and pioglitazone hydrochloride were linear in the concentration ranges of 400-600 μg/ml and 12-18 μg/ml. The recoveries were 99.2% and 99.1%,with RSDs of 0.31% and 0.62%.
