Abstract

Urban road drainage design has a significant influence over the life of the road.Although various kinds of measures have been taken to ensure well drainage of the pavement,drainage of the other parts of the road has been neglected over a long period of time.In this paper,a detailed analysis of pavement drainage,subgrade drainage and greenbelt drainage is given.How to lower the ground water level of the bottom crossroads is also discussed.A practical design example is presented,which proves that comprehensive application of these measures is effective.
