Abstract
According to the signal control and bus priority strategies in urban intersections, this paper puts forward the multilayer fuzzy control model based on the bus priority single intersections, combined with the fuzzy control theory. The first layer is to estimate traffic demand of each direction. The second is to optimize and adjust the phase sequences. The third is to decide whether to extend the green phase and how long to extend. The last is to finish the phases adaptive choice and judgment at the end of each cycle. The simulation was carried out by Matlab6.5.Compared to the pre-timed control, the results show the superiority of the model. The model can minimize the average delay of vehicles and persons in the intersection.
