The closure properties of life distributions based on the moment order

Abstract

The closure properties of life distributions based on the moment order are investigated.It is shown firstly that the M_0 class of life distributions are closure under convex combination.Secondly,NBU_M class of life distribution under series systems are discussed.Finally,the interplay between the stochastic comparison of the excess lifetime of a renewal process and the NBU_M inter-arrivals is studied.
