Analysis of Acupoints Selection Regularity and Formula Rules of Dysmenorrhea Treated with Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Abstract

Objective:To explore the acupoints selection regularity and formula rules for the treatment of dysmenorrhea according to experience statistics analysis.Methods:Selecting the articles from(1911 to 2011.10)of dysmenorrhea treated by acupuncture and moxibustion therapy from Chinese Journal Full-text Database(CJFD),the points used in the articles were analyzed by statistical methods.Results:In the 317 articles,there are 101 acupoints belonging to 13 different meridians and 194 prescriptions.However,only 11 acupoints are used more than 10% such as Sanyinjiao(SP6),Guanyuan(RN4),Zhongji(RN3) and so on.71.29% prescriptions consist of less than five acupoints.Conclusion:Acupoints selection regularity and formula rules of dysmenorrhea is complex,but there is still a certain principle to follow.
