Abstract
Based on the plane wave expansion method,the defect structures of 2D square lattice and triangle lattice photonic crystals were designed,and the TE and TM modes of the 2D photonic crystals with forbidden band characteristics were numerically simulated.The mode distribution of defect structure of 2D triangle lattice photonic crystal was calculated.The results showed that defect structure of photonic crystal had better forbidden band characteristics and mode structure,Research results provide the reference for development of the photonic crystal waveguide devices.
