Abstract
Three maize hybrid combinations were tested under different planting density to study effects of planting density on their yield and quality.The results showed that there was significant difference in yield between three tested maize hybrid combinations;there was very significant difference in yield between different tested planting densities.The optimum planting density of tested maize hybrid combinations was 63 thousand plants/hm2 but there was no significant difference between combination and planting density.The interaction between combination and planting density had very significant difference effect on protein content of maize seeds.There was significant difference in starch content of maize seeds between different planting densities and there was very significant difference in soluble sugar content of maize seeds between different maize hybrid combinations.
