Abstract
The 435 bp chicken interferon-7 gene cDNA encoding mature peptide was cloned into the vector pPICZαC, the recombinant vector linearized by BstX I and transformed into Pichia pastoris X-33. After the PCR analysis of the Pichia transformants, ChIFNγ gene was expressed in Pichia pastoris . SDS-PAGE analysis of the culture supernatants showed that ChIFNγ gene could be expressed as a 2.0 ×104 protein. Density scanning of the SDS-PAGE revealed that the targeted protein accounted for 35% of the total protein in the supernatants. The titer of the antiviral activity in culture supernatant of Pichia pastoris was about 6 400 U/mL.
