Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of intermittence parathyroid hormone fragment 1-34 on blood Ca2+,PO43-and PTH concentration in ovariectomized rats(OVX).Methods Twenty-four 6-month Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups randomly, sham,OVX and OVX treated by PTH1-34.The Bone Mineral Density of 6 rats selected randomly were valued and confirmed osteoporosis models. The others with 8mm defect in skull were operated, while autograft was embedded in defects. The 6 OVX rats among them were treated for 56 days with PTH1-34(40 μg/(kg·d),once three days) or vehicle as OVX control group respectively. All of the samples of blood were collected while rats were sacrified. The Ca2+,PO43-and PTH concentration were valued. Results After operation,Ca2+ of OVX was lowest among three groups, but PO43-higher.While OVX treated with PTH and sham had no difference.PTH concentration of OVX increased higher than others. Conclusion PTH and Ca2+ concentration reversed,as well as the PTH and PO43-fluctuated with the same trend under osteoporosis.
