Abstract

living in transitional period from CHENG and ZHU's LI-theory to XIN-theory and distinctive social cultural background in the area covering Guangdong and Guangxi, Bai-sha succeeded and developed creatively Taoist theory of XINXING(明的)-cultivating by merging Taoism with Confucianism and Buddhism into a unity in which Bai-sha puts forward a purport of founding on nature, a method of probing into one's mind and keeping quiet, and an ideal state of forgetting both the outside and inner world.
