Abstract
Test method is decisive for capability evaluation of a cathode. In this paper,a system with an electron gun structure for performance tests of thermionic cathode is reprted. Emission performances of several kinds of impregnated cathode (M-type cathode) were tested. The results proved that this system for cathode performance evaluation is useful. Improvements in the designing the electron gun structure have been made,based on findings in the test.
