Abstract
An Al-Si diffusion coating was prepared on a nickel-base cast superalloy by slurry aluminizing. The hot corrosion behavior of the cast alloy without and with Al-Si coating was examined in the presence of 75mass%Na_2SO_4+25mass%K_2SO_4 film at 900℃.The cast alloy suffered from catastrophic hot corrosion and serious internal oxidation and sulfidation.Because of the formation of protective Al_2O_3 scale, the beneficial effect of Cr element and some Si-rich phases in the coating,Al-Si coating had excellent resistance to hot corrosion.
