Abstract
The measurement method using three-line pendulum is a commonly used method for measuring moment of inertia. However, describing this method is based on both small angle assumption and stretching-free assumption.Through analyzing its motion and affording force situation of three-line pendulum, presents a complete dynamic differential equation that can describe various situations including large angle and the effect of lines'stretching. With the equation, effect of the two assumptions on the measuring accuracy can be studied quantitatively. Finally a numerical example of the above equation is given.
