Abstract
A composite adsorbent, Chitosan Loaded Bentonite (CLB), is obtained by loading chi-tosan on the bentonite. The adsorbent has exhibited good efficiency in the adsorption experiment of Ni2+. According to the experiment results, when the mass of CLB is 0.5 g and the initial concentration of Ni2+ 10 mg/L, the removal ratio of Ni2+ comes up to 99% at the optimal conditions. FT-IR spectra show that Ni2+ has substituted the metal ions in the bentonite and the chitosan combined on the bentonite is also involved in the reaction at active site-NH2.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
