Abstract
Resin modified with the phenolic hydroxyl group was prepared to study adsorption properties of 2naphthol from aqueous solution. The thermodynamic and kinetic adsorption behaviors were investigated through batch adsorption experiments. The results show: LM-6 adsorption of 2-naphthol fit Freundlich equation very well and the adsorption process was favorable ones, while adsorption capacities increased with the increase of temperature.DG﹤0 implied that the adsorption process is spontaneous, and S㎡0 indicated that the entropy increased during the adsorption process. From the kinetic adsorption experiment, the adsorption equilibrium reached in 10 h and the adsorption process obeyed pseudo-second-order adsorption model and intra-particle diffusion model very well.
