Abstract

Based on the FEA model of crankshaft system, a multi-body dynamics model of the flexible crankshaft system of a diesel engine is established. The piston, connecting road, fly wheel and torsional damper are also included in the crankshaft system. Through the dynamics analysis of the crankshaft system, the torque output of the engine with different loads is obtained and, the torsional vibration and the reaction forces of main bearing of the crankshaft system are analyzed. The simulation results are proved to be reliable by the comparison with the engine experiments.
