Abstract

Apoptosis of hepatocyte and hepatic stellate cell is associated with the hepatic fibrosis. Both clearance of hepatocyte apoptotic bodies through phagocytosis and hepatocyte apoptosis itself may stimulate fibrogenesis.Apoptosis of acivated hepatic stellate cells may attenuates hepatic fibrosis. So,apoptosis of hepatocyte and hepatic stellate cell is critical to hepatic fibrosis.
