Minority Women and Ecological Protection

Abstract: The protection of ecological surroundings is a key issue related to sustainable development.From the gender perspective,especially from the feminist perspective,this paper discusses the relationship between the traditional cultures of the minority nationamities and ecological protection.It focuses on a study of the minority women's knowledge,experience,concept,lifestyle and customs in ecological protection.It analyzes the minority women's adaptation to their eco-surroundings and their positive role in ecological protection,which is a criticism of the patriarchal values.It concludes that the minority women's good experience and knowledge in ecological protection should be acknowledged and popularized in our further development of China.
