Abstract
Two commercial DP agents are selected to treat the cotton fabrics by using regular creasing-resistant method.Formaldehyde releasing from two treated cotton fabrics in acidic, alkaline aqueous solution and two artificial sweats is characterized and compared. The results indicate that the DP treated cotton fabrics release formaldehyde more easily in the alkaline aqueous solution than the acidic aqueous solution. Moreover,DP treated cotton fabrics release lower formaldehyde in the artificial sweats than the aqueous solutions at the same condition.
