Characteristics of Hydrocarbon Source Rocks in Upper Permian Longtan Formation of Northeast Sichuan Basin

Abstract

Based on sedimentology,petroleum geology and organic geochemistry,Longtan Formation hydrocarbon source rocks of northeast Sichuan basin were studied in this text.By a great deal of analysis,it proves the high quality Longtan Formation of Upper Permian hydrocarbon source rocks possess big thickness and high contents of TOC.Kerogen carbon isotope shows organic matter of Upper Permian source rock is type Ⅱ2,Ⅲ.Hydrocarbon generative history shows that the generative oil fastigium of this set of source rock s is late Jurrasic apart.The oil and gas from Upper Permian hydrocarbon source rocks are favourable for present gas pools.
