Study on the Status Quo and Developing Approaches to Rural Sports in the Construction of the New Socialist Countryside in Henan Province

The current situation of social sports in Henan countryside is that the backwardness of rural residents' sports awareness; the bad situation of rural residents' physique, the insufficient investment to the countryside, the comparatively small population in sports in the countryside, the shortage of rural sports resources. The current situation can be changed through combining the national, traditional folk sports and school sports education, strengthening the link with the mass media, forming a competitive and training system marked with regular sports meetings, integrating traditional sports with commercial manipulation.
