Abstract

Objective To establish a method for simultaneous determination of ten metal elements(Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Mo, Cd,Hg, Pb) in traditional Chinese medicine. Methods After microwave digestion of samples with single nitrate acid, the 10 elements in the sample were measured by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS). Results Under the optimum conditions, the detection limits were 0.03-1.92μg/L, and the relative standard deviations(RSDs) were 1.3%-3.9%. The recovery rates were 89.5%-110.7%. Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive, reproducible and suitable for the determination of the 10 metal elements in Chinese herbal medicines.
