Exploration of Different Ways of Nutrition in Patients with Esophageal Cancer after Operation

Objective Explore the impact of different ways nutrition in patients with esophageal cancer.Methods Fourty cases of esophageal cancer were randomly divided into EN group(n=20)and parenteral nutrition(PN)group(n=20).A series of parameters including serum albumin were tested preoperatively and at postoperative day 8.The sympotom of digestive tract,resumption of gastrointestinal functions,postoperative complication and length of hospital stay were carefully observed and recorded.Results Recovery of the nutritional target fairly basic,but the EN group significantly reduced prices.EN group simultaneously restore gastrointestinal function significantly earlier than the PN group,there is statistical significance(P0.05);EN group gastrointestinal symptoms was not obvious.Conclusion Early enteral nutrition can improve the nutritional status of patients with esophageal cancer and reduce the occurence of serious postoperative complication.So,the early postoperative enteral nutrition is safe,effective and economical after esophageal cancer surgery.
