Abstract
Dawangzhuang gentle slope is the most complex nose structure with one of the very rich oil and gas resources in the south Chezhen Sag,Jiyang Depression.Hydrocarbon accumulation is closely related to the fault system.Taking the main oil-bearing strata,Shahejie Formation,in the research area as an example, this paper analyzed the contemporaneous faults with the fault growth index and other related parameters, discussing the relationship of fault system with the hydrocarbon accumulation. The results show that many contemporaneous faults with similar features developed in the gentle slope have controlled the formation of structural traps and oil and gas accumulation. The fault system acted as the migration pathway and lateral seal at the same time, because it has controlled the distribution of sand bodies and the reservoirs.
