Relationship between Geographical Distribution Structure of Diversity of Rice Varieties and Population Distribution of Different Nationalities in Yunnan Area

By utilizing 5 285 shares of information about rice variety resources and data about population census of Yunnan area,the geographical distribution structure of diversity of rice varieties and its relationship with population distribution of different nationalities in this area were analyzed.The results indicated that in Yunnan area,the diversity of rice varieties showed progressively decreasing trend from south to north totally;the population proportions of Dai,Hani,Lahu and Bulang nationalities were closely related to richness of rice varieties;the population might have different influences on the retaining and cultivation of traditional rice varieties under different national culture and rice-cultivation culture backgrounds.
