Abstract
The Form-spirit Theory has long been an essential part of Chinese culture.The cases of traditional Chinese garden were given in this article as examples of the typical incarnation of this theory in architecture.It was concluded that it is the core of Chinese culture rather than the rigid forms representing the Image of China that should be the focus in the new era.
