Abstract

The laws of a tracking and data relay satellite(TDRS) tracking use satellites were presented based on the orbital elements in this paper. The requirements of platform attitude and antenna operation range of a TDRS were studied. The key technologies in TTC for on-orbit TDRS were discussed, such as the spiral scan algorithm in a TDRS searching use satellites, the coverage of a TDRS over use satellites, key rules to assign a TDRS's resource to its multi-users,the calculation of earth shadow, lunar shadow and solar transit outage, and maneuver of station keeping and attitude control. The correctness of the control strategies were approved by the TTC implementation of geostationary satellite in domestic, which showed that it would be applied to the TDRS in future.
