The Internal Logic and Thought Significance of Dong Zhongshu's "Heaven Induction"

The historical development process of heaven induction thought in China for thousands of years and the specific connotation of it are analyzed.It is pointed out that on one hand,Dong Zhongshu’s heaven induc-tion ensured the virtue-based political direction theoretically,provided the thought base of long-term stability of feudal society and laid the political tone.On the other hand,his religious theology also referred a lot of ridiculous contents with obscurantism ingredients.It is put forward that researching Dong Zhongshu’s heaven induction should start from the historical conditions at that time and evaluate it objectively.
