A Comparison of Liang Qichao and Zhu Guangqian's Aesthetic Thoughts

Abstract
Liang Qichao thinks that the meaning of life lies in taste and Zhu Guangqian insists that life can be artful.Based on similar aesthetics mentioned above,they both call out for literary revolutions as reflections of their philosophy of life.Liang Qichao advocates new style,while Zhu Guangqian proposes new literature.They both acknowledge the importance of classical Chinese and uphold the art of life as the foundation.Thus,vernacular Chinese can be established,which encompasses the brevity of classical Chinese and the fluency and strictness of European language.
